It’s Memorial Day Weekend! We hope everyone has a great weekend with friends and family. Most importantly, we hope everyone takes time to remember the reason for this holiday; honoring those who gave all for our freedom. We have many heroes to thank for the freedom we enjoy today.
As we look forward to the weekend and the summer season, we want to provide a few safety reminders to help everyone have a safe summer. Your safety and security is always top of mind for us as your hometown insurance agency!
Everyone loves to entertain friends and family. If you have a gas grill, make sure it is clean and that your burners are in good working order. Also, it is very important to check that your gas supply line does not have a leak and that your gas tank hasn’t rusted or become unstable. Please remember to never place a grill up against the house, especially if you have a vinyl-sided house, because the heat from the grill can actually melt the vinyl siding.
If you have a pool, or the kids are going to the pool, make sure there is always an adult around the pool supervising. It only takes a split second for a tragedy to occur. Also, make sure your pool is clean and sanitary. Always keep a fence around your pool with a locked gate.
If you are hitting the road, make sure your tires have good air pressure and that your cooling system is in good working order. It is a good idea to have snacks and plenty of extra water in the car in case of a breakdown or unexpected traffic delay. Have your insurance ID card on hand so that you can call for emergency help if needed.
Summer is also home buying season. Remember, as soon as you put a contract on a home, you need to make a call to DeBerry Insurance Agency. You will need to have insurance coverage in place – in advance! – in order to close. We make the process easy. All you have to do is call and we will find the best coverage at the best price for you!
Again, Happy Memorial Day from DeBerry Insurance Agency!
